Raspberry Pi First Start Up

LD brought his Raspberry Pi SD card to the School Pi Club today. He had successfully loaded the operating system onto it.

When you load a Raspberry Pi for the first time you see the following screen:-

We wanted the Raspberry Pi – in future – to boot up to the desktop each time we start it, so we chose option 3 in the menu and then confirmed ‘boot to desktop’.

This saves time by not having to put the default login (pi) and password (raspberry) and then ‘startx’ each time.
